Toy’s journey in entertainment began remarkably early when she booked her first national commercial at just 5 years old. That foundational spark launched a prolific career across television and film.

In 1988, she cemented her status in pop culture and horror history by starring as Sheila Kopecky, the asthmatic inventor and aspiring doctor with a tragic fate, in Renny Harlin’s cult classic A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. 

To this day, horror enthusiasts worldwide celebrate her contribution to one of cinema's most legendary horror franchises. 

Throughout the late '80s and '90s, Toy became a familiar and welcome face on America's favorite TV shows. Her impressive television resume includes memorable roles and guest appearances on A Different World, Beverly Hills, 90210, Living Single, The Commish, The O.J. Simpson Story, 227, and Diff'rent Strokes.

While audiences knew her from acting, Toy mastered the industry from every angle. Transitioning seamlessly into writing, directing, and producing, she built a powerhouse resume crafting compelling programming across network television, cable, and digital platforms.

She has developed, formatted, and delivered content for major networks including FOX, NBC, Bravo, E!, and WE, as well as pioneering digital platforms like Netflix and Hulu. Her diverse production credits range from high-profile artist biographies (Vanessa Williams, Billy Joel, The Eagles) to engaging reality and unscripted series like Gastineau Girls and InDemand Howard Stern TV.
